Great news! We have chosen our Interim Minister. She is the Rev. Dr. Anita Farber-Robertson, currently serving as Interim Minister at the Melrose (MA) UU Church. The Board has approved, and she has signed, a 2-year contract beginning on August 1st. You can learn more about Rev. Anita by checking out her website, ReverendAnita.com.
The Search Team worked fast and furiously, over a period of 8 days, scheduling interviews by Skype, reviewing ministerial packets, contacting references, then bringing our recommendation to the Board. The decision was all the more challenging as the top candidates easily met our requirements of Interim experience and training, engaging sermons, administrative skills and more.
Rev. Anita exhibited warmth, humor, and a relaxed demeanor during our interview. She demonstrated an eagerness to learn more about A2U2 as we talked and asked probing questions. Her references were a testimony to her ability to get a congregation fully engaged in the transition process. In addition, she is active in the leadership of the Interim Ministers’ association and has taught at Andover Newton Theological School. And, now that everything is confirmed, Anita states that she is “excited and delighted and looking forward to our two years together.”
