For those of you who may not have noticed yet, the Buildings & Grounds Committee had the three windows in the back wall of the Sanctuary replaced this summer. The frames of the old windows were rotted and falling apart, making them difficult and hazardous to open. The new windows are larger, giving more of a view to the woods and hopefully more ventilation when they are opened. New shades are on order and should be installed soon.
We also had the exteriors of both the main building and the back shed power washed and stained. The trim was also painted. The new stain is a penetrating oil-based stain, recommended by the contractor, so it should last longer and hopefully replenished some of the natural oils that had dried out of the cedar siding.
Thanks to Jerry Freeman for overseeing both these projects.
