Volunteering for Religious Education Portland, Maine

As a church with very limited staff resources, volunteers lead the way through their involvement on committees, participation with workdays and Sunday coffee hour, volunteering as leaders with the children and youth programs, and pledging, as each is able, the financial resources that pay for the church’s year-to-year operation costs. We welcome your participation and would love to tell you more about opportunities to volunteer in our RE program! Please contact Robin Lea, Director of Religious Education or the chair of the RE Committee for more information.

The RE Committee

The RE Committee has responsibility for the youth and children’s RE Program. This group of volunteers works with the Director of Religious Education to formulate goals, select curricula and evaluate the varied programs described in this brochure. Meetings are generally held on the 4th Wednesday of each month. The RE Committee is open to new members! If you are interested in joining the Religious Education Committee or helping with a special project, please contact the RE Committee Chair for more information.
