Application and selection criteria for the Audrey B. Seale Service Program
Process
Allen Avenue Unitarian Universalist (A2U2) church will announce the opening of the application process and the deadline for applications via its web site and announcements sent to Unitarian Universalist (UU) churches in Maine and the media. Within one week of the deadline date, the Audrey B. Seale Service Program (ABSSP) Committee of A2U2 will review applications and select applicants for interviews. The Committee will present finalists to the church’s Board of Trustees for their approval and grantees will be notified of their selection.
Criteria for selection
Applicants must document a commitment to service through their volunteer records and their activities in their churches. Proposed service programs should be based on thoughtful and thorough planning and a realistic budget. Finally, each applicant’s presentation in the interview will carry considerable weight.
Project reporting
Each grantee must submit a final project report to the ABSSP Committee at the end of the project period. Interim reports may also be required, especially in the case of longer projects.
Publicity
Notice of grant awards and final project reports will be made available to the media and to UU churches in Maine.
