The Maine Unitarian Universalist State Advocacy Network (MUUSAN) is Maine’s Unitarian Universalist legislative ministry, linking our 25 congregations for statewide advocacy for laws and policies consonant with our Seven UU Principles. MUUSAN is the public voice of UU congregations across the state supporting legislative initiatives which reflect our UU values and opposing those that violate our principles.

MUUSAN has four focus areas: Environment, Democracy in Action, Healthcare, and Racial, Native and Immigrant Justice. Together with partners like the Maine Council of Churches, the League of Women Voters, the Poor People’s Campaign, and other political action groups across the state, MUUSAN is a visible presence for justice and equality at the legislature and beyond.
