Get Ready for the A2U2 Artisans Market and More!

Thanks so much to the great group that participated in our first meeting to begin the planning of this year’s holiday fundraising event. After a lively discussion of positives and negatives of this important event, we have reached a consensus! We will be planning a fantastic Artisans Market with a little bit more great features—and we will need lots of help!

Saturday, December 7, 2019 is the date—mark your calendars!

What you can do?

First, we need Artisans. That means, we need YOU if you have a passion for any creative product that we can sell. Photographers, painters, draw-ers, crafters of all kinds, food-crafters, fabric and fiber artists, quilters, jewelry makers, glass artists, you name it! You can have your own table to display your wares or combine with others with similar types of products. This is a fundraiser for the church, so most of our artisans will be donating all proceeds of their sales to the church. However, we will make individual arrangements with artisans whose materials cost quite a bit to share part of the proceeds, so please do not stay away because of this!

Get ready, get set, create! We want high quality, classy products that will set our market apart from the regular fairs offered everywhere. We have had requests for something for everyone, including items children might like to buy for themselves or their families.

Secondly, we need help! Many hands will be necessary to make this a success. A Publicity Chair to advertise our fair; setup and cleanup crews; someone to organize the Food area (baked goods, canned items, other great stuff); someone to organize a Café to serve coffee, tea, goodies; someone to organize a Hodgepodge section for those who don’t want an entire table; you get the idea.

Finally (for now) we need tables. The church does not own enough tables for all our creative geniuses but getting tables from a commercial source is a real hardship. If you have tables at home that you would be willing to lend, now is the time to clean them off and let us know!
