Planning for Holiday Fundraiser

Yes, it’s Holiday Fundraiser Time!

Wait, it is still September, right? Yes, indeed. But as you probably know, neither Rome nor a successful Holiday Fundraiser was built in a day, or a week, or a month. Last year, we had a very late start on our Holiday festivities, and ended up with a delightful Artisans Market along with an Envelope Cash fundraiser, because there wasn’t enough time to plan a holiday fair. And truth be told, we needed a break. This year, we would like to get started earlier, to have more choices, more fun and less stress. We do need to raise money, but we’d like to have fun doing it and avoid the last minute panic, thank you very much. A well-planned, plenty-of-time fundraiser is a happy one, in my humble opinion. To that end,

PLEASE COME TO AN A2U2 HOLIDAY FUNDRAISER PLANNING/BRAINSTORMING MEETING! MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 23RD AT 6:30 PM at church.

All are welcome. We would love to have you creative people: artists, crafters, photographers, writers, woodworkers, ceramics workers, jewelry makers, culinary artists (that means you cook or bake). And you “get it done” people: planners, publicity hounds, muscle, money counters, etc. If you helped out last year, fabulous! We want you back. If you’re new, or didn’t get to participate last year, we want you now! This is a major fundraiser for our church, it’s great fun, and we want your input into just what it should look like. Fair, market, sale, restaurant?? Come with ideas or just to learn. Co-coordinators are Terri Grover and Russ Glidden (see, that’s done already!) but we’ll need lots of help. See you there!
