Collaboration in Worship During the Pandemic and After

Four Hartford, CT area churches joined in producing the Service “Building Bridges” at last June’s GA. They wanted to share their experience working together so that other UU churches could do the same. These are the words of the Reverend Josh Pawelek, Parish Minister Unitarian Universalist Society East, Manchester, CT:

“We know collaboration matters because our theology is covenantal, because our principles center our interdependence, because remaining in our geographical silos now keeps us small and parochial at a time when we are called to burst forth proudly with our message of love, compassion and justice….

“After months of on-line Pandemic worship, it just makes sense to share Sunday morning services, so that our various staff members who have been working overtime on worship since March of 2020 could finally get a break, and even more importantly so that our members and friends could experience other preachers, could see how other congregations are approaching the on-line worship experience.”

The service will be live at 10 AM via Zoom. Here is the link to the service.

A Community Conversation will follow the service, usually between 10:45 AM and 11 AM, depending on the length of the service. Here is the link to the Conversation.
