A welcoming congregation
We’re Unitarian Universalists in Portland, Maine. We are justice‑minded, spirit‑centered people living into life’s big questions together in community, because we need one another. Some of us are also Buddhist, atheist, Pagan, Christian, Jewish, Muslim, agnostic, Humanist, and more. Many of us are still figuring it out. We gather Sundays at ten, in our Sanctuary and on Zoom.

Voices from the congregation
The noises and wiggles of the youngest members are the sign of a healthy church. I’ve been able to relax and let my kids be kids.
I had trouble getting up each Sunday and reciting things I no longer believed in. Then I discovered Unitarian Universalism, where we say we believe in Love, Truth, Helping Others, and the Sanctity of Life. That I can agree with.
A community that accepts me for who I am and what I believe, with people whose different beliefs I can learn from. There’s no pressure to believe a specific creed.
