Solstice Service/Ritual 2024
31st Annual Winter Solstice Service/Ritual
Saturday, December 21st at 7pm
Come join us for music, readings, poems, and meditations to celebrate the winter solstice, the longest night with the coming of the winter dawn.
Please bring with you:
- A handheld noise maker, bells, rattles, hands to clap, feet to stomp.
- A contribution to the Project Feed Program. Suggested items include crackers, nutrition bars, dish soap, ketchup, mustard, hot cocoa mix, paper products, i.e. paper towels, tissues, toilet paper.
- A protective mask, for whatever reason you feel a need.
- We would appreciate contributions of fruit and cookies for our refreshment table.
Other information:
- Children who can be still through extended silences are welcome to be present. Childcare is available for those needing more movement.
- The service will be Zoomed but not recorded.
- Weather permitting, we are planning to end our program outdoors by a bonfire with refreshments and conversation.
