Welcome Bob Moseley, Director of Religious Education
The DRE Search Committee is pleased to introduce our new Director of Religious Education, Bob Moseley.
“Hello, A2U2! I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce myself; I’m very appreciative and humbled to be selected as A2U2 Director of Religious Education. My name is Bob Moseley and I grew up south of Boston in the small town of Abington, MA. I spent 35 years working for the Federal Government, including 22 years on active duty with the U.S. Navy. Serving primarily in the intelligence community, I was stationed both in the U.S. and abroad, including 7 years in Japan and was trained as a Russian linguist, subsequently serving as the Navy’s Director of Foreign Language Training. The extensive opportunities to travel provided me with unlimited, valuable exposure to many different cultures and world views. My family has long ties to the Unitarian Universalist community and I served as a Religious Education teacher at the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu. I have a lot of experience working with children of all ages, most notably as a coach in many youth sports programs. Additionally, my wife, Diane, and I are the parents of 4 children/stepchildren and the grandparents of 5, ranging in age from 11 months to 12 years old; we also include in our brood 2 geriatric pups, Maltese Reggie (14) and Yorkie Rosie (11). I have a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts/Boston, a M.A. in Organization Management and Development from Fielding Graduate University and I’m in the final stages of completing a M.A. in Pastoral Care from Fordham University. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and working together to build upon the excellent RE program already in place.”
