The church building is available for rentals to individuals, groups, community groups and others. Currently, we host a preschool, choral rehearsals, the Maine Outdoor Adventure Club and other regular events. At times we have rented to weddings, family or organization events, memorial services, meetings and conferences. Our Sexton will work with your group on setup and cleanup issues as needed, and our Music Director may be available for weddings or memorials. Our parking lot has multiple handicap spaces, easy drop-off points and paved walkways to the building entrances. The sanctuary is 1850 square feet and can seat 165. The floor is vinyl tile and the ceiling is a dark cedar with exposed beams. The lighting is quite versatile with the primary lighting dimmable fluorescent and additional dimmable incandescent hanging globes. In the front of the room there is also dimmable spot lighting. There is one main double door entrance to the room from a foyer with two other single doors to the outside. One wall of the room is almost solid glass with multiple fixed panes. Movable fabric-cushioned chairs are available as are a number of 8-foot folding banquet tables and 8 round tables.


The kitchen, which is inspected annually by the City of Portland, is equipped with a commercial six burner gas stove with two ovens. Opposite the stove is a stainless counter with a double sink with a smaller vegetable sink. At the end of the counter is a commercial dish sanitizer (not washer) with a cycle rate of three minutes per tray of dishes. The kitchen is well lit with fluorescent lighting and has plenty of counter space, including a center island. It is also well stocked with cooking pots and pans, utensils, and “diner style” dishes, cups, and flatware. There are two refrigerators. The kitchen is NOT available to rent for commercial food-production.


There are two classrooms near the front of the building with tile flooring that are furnished very much as you would expect a children’s classroom to be, small chairs, low tables and numerous books and toys. Full-size furniture can be moved into the rooms. One measures 351square feet and the other 494 square feet. Each has a sliding screen to divide the space if needed. Lighting is conventional surface mount fluorescent lighting.

A third classroom is located toward the rear of the building, also with a dividing screen, and measures 512 square feet. It is tiled and has several pieces of adult furniture; more full- size furniture can be moved in to the room. Lighting is recessed fluorescent lighting.


There are two meeting rooms toward the rear of the building, each of similar size, the larger is 256 square feet and the smaller is 240 square feet. They are both tiled and usually furnished with adult furniture and tables. They are lit with recessed fluorescent fixtures; however one of the rooms (Memorial Room) has some conventional floor lamps for more intimate lighting. Each room has several feet of counter surface.


  • Writing a brief proposal including: name of organization and event; contact person with e-mail, phone number, and address; description of event; date[s] when needed; and space[s] you would like to rent
  • Obtaining approval from the church
  • Taking a tour and reviewing the contract details, prices, special considerations, etc.
  • Making a deposit, signing the contract and receiving confirmation
  • Obtaining access information, enjoying your event and making final payment
