I hope this finds you healthy and well. As you have heard by now, your Board has invited me to renew my contract with you for another year and, after discernment, I accepted. I am so looking forward to another year together and the challenges, joys, and learning it will surely bring! Thank you for your notes of encouragement and excitement. I love being your minister.
And thank you, too, to those of you who replied to last week’s note with reflections from your own life! I read them with such appreciation and cherish knowing more about you.
As we reflected on last week, we are in stewardship season! If you haven’t yet signed up for a cottage meeting, I highly recommend attending one. They’re a great way to connect with others and reflect on what matters to you here at A2U2.
And I hope you’ll join us on Sunday for worship! We’ll have an all-ages worship experience reflecting on the storms in nature and the storms of life. What do they have to teach us? The service will be interactive and we have stories to share. Have any little ones in your life? Feel free to bring them along. All are welcome!
It’s so good to worship in ways that get us out of our brains and into our bodies sometimes. That’s part of Emily’s and my goal in our monthly all-ages services. Earlier this week I was watching with joy as the Art Play kiddos played on the snow mounds outside my office window. Kids know how to play. Us adults have lost some of that. But we can dig deep and embrace play, too!
As always, I’m here for you if you’d like to connect. You can send me an email or find me on Sunday morning.
Until then, may your days be blessed.
In faith,
Rev. Tara
P.S. The photo is of my dog, Maizel, on the beach last weekend. She knows how to PLAY!
