On the third Saturday of each month, from 9:30 AM to noon, we gather in the double RE classroom at church to talk about the challenges, concerns, revelations and perplexities of “the third third” of life. We’re a self-led group, and sometimes our agenda is simply thoughtful consideration of a topic which arises as we check-in in turn around the circle. But most often someone at the prior meeting offers to bring a topic for discussion and serves as our facilitator.
While the group has been meeting for several years, newcomers are always very welcome. No enrollment, no reservations, no obligations beyond caring attention to each other! Coffee or tea and delicious treats help to fuel our conversations, and we usually conclude around noon.
At this month’s Elder Salon meeting, we’ll be taking a look at Being Resilient. How would you define resilience? What challenges, or benefits, do you see? Has your ability to ‘bounce back’ changed over the years? We’ll explore these questions and more as we share our experiences and perspectives.
Elder Salon is a self-led group, and newcomers are always very welcome. No enrollment, no reservations, no obligations beyond caring attention. Please join us! FMI, please reach out to Kathy Gulrich at firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: While the church is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. Here is the meeting link.
