On the third Saturday of each month, from 9:30 AM to noon, via Zoom we gather to talk about the challenges, concerns, revelations and perplexities of “the third third” of life. We’re a self-led group, and sometimes our agenda is simply thoughtful consideration of a topic which arises as we check-in in turn around the circle. But most often someone at the prior meeting offers to bring a topic for discussion and serves as our facilitator.

While the group has been meeting for several years, newcomers are always very welcome. No enrollment, no reservations, no obligations beyond caring attention to each other!

“Stuff Happens” is the topic of this month’s Elder Salon. Just when we think we have it all together, something can come across our path which changes our priorities, thrusting us into unexpected territory. It could be an unexpected guest, a huge snowstorm when you’re setting out on a trip, the unexpected death or illness of a loved one, or…. Plans and emotions akimbo! How have you coped? How have you found resilience? What did you do to become grounded again? We all can identify. So I hope you’ll please join us Saturday morning  — in person, or on Zoom. And please bring along a friend or partner who may also be interested in this topic. New members warmly welcomed.
