Joy Even Now!

A2U2 Friends,

Alleluia! It was a joy to celebrate Easter with you this past Sunday! Alleluia, indeed.

And this week does feel, though we have been in spring for some time, like a beginning of sorts. It’s warm, more flowers are up, and buds are emerging from branches. The evening light is plentiful. It sure does feel good.

On Sunday we reflected together on what it means to be a people who RISE. What does it mean, for you? Or more specifically, in this spring season, what is rising within you? What is being born? What seeds have you been tending that are beginning to break through?

I look forward to worshiping together again on Sunday. We’ll continue on in the celebratory spirit and dive into the topic of JOY! Joy in the face of all life’s crap. Joy even now. Especially now. Though Passover wraps up today, we’ll revisit the Passover story and see how it might act as a guidepost in our search for joy in the face of hardship.

And oh my goodness, we have opportunities for joy coming up. New to UU class! Earth Day Yard Sale! Rev. Lyn Marshall, former A2U2 intern, returning to lead worship! Bylaws discussion and trash pick-up! Dancing ‘round the Maypole! Ferry Beach! I hope you’ll join us for the fun.

Don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to connect. I always love hearing from you! And a gentle reminder that I work Sunday-Wednesday. That means I don’t reply to emails Thurs/Fri/Sat. If it’s urgent, you can always text or call me. If not, I’ll get back to you and we can find a time.

Until Sunday, be well!

Joyfully,

Rev. Tara
