Members and friends,
I hope this finds you well and you may have even had the opportunity to play in the snow this week! I took a snowy drive into town on Wednesday to drop off a carload of blankets and pillows (photo above) for the warming center that many of you so generously donated. They were received with much gratitude, and it sure feels good to help out our neighbors. UU values in action. Thank you!
I hope to see you this Sunday for the second half of the Beloved Community sermon series. Last week we reflected on what it means to reclaim and recommit to realizing King’s vision in this current moment. This week we’ll dive into the commitments this work will require us to center in our faithful living and work for justice.
After church on Sunday is our first New to UU class of the year. I’m looking forward to diving into what it means to be a Unitarian Universalist with a group of newer folks (and some long timers who are ready to take the plunge!). I learn something new every time I go through one of these classes. Always learning… the best part of ministry.
Your Board and I met last night (Wed) and we are ready to launch our next phase of covenant work – a series of listening circles deepening our conversations about what it means to live into our own call to beloved community as A2U2. Stay tuned in the coming EBlasts/announcements to learn more and join in.
Until I see you, be well!
In faith,
Rev. Tara
