The Hum of Spring Activities

Dear ones –

I hope this finds you well and enjoying the sunshine this week. It was wonderful to see many of you Sunday at church, and we were sorry that the technology did not cooperate with our ability to Zoom. If you haven’t yet seen it, I re-recorded the sermon and reading on being a wetland, for those who tried to Zoom and couldn’t hear. Feel free to watch and share: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5fQ9Kuw39o.

It’s a busy time of year here at the church. There has been a hum this week of folks coming in and out to prepare for the yard sale, drop off items, work on building projects, meet with SEG groups, and more. The grounds are looking beautiful after a hard working group gathered last weekend for a work day! Thank you to Judith Beckett who donated the progressive pride flag featured in the photo. I hope you will stop by between 9am-1pm this Saturday for the Community Earth Day Yard Sale, and will join the Worship Committee for a Sunday morning service featuring their reflections on faith.

I will be out of the pulpit the coming two Sundays and out of time for a few days of vacation from Sunday 4/21-Wednesday 4/24. You’ll be in great hands with the Worship Committee this Sunday and the Social Justice Committee the following Sunday. It will be good to take time to rest and renew and gather up energy to fuel the work that remains between now and the end of June. And I will miss you! If you have any needs when I am away, please contact Board President, Ann Packard, or our Admin, Margaret. In the event of a pastoral emergency, you may text or call my cell phone.

May you, too, find moments of rest and renewal these busy spring days that pull us in many different directions. Breathe in. Breathe out.

With love,

Rev. Tara
