Lay Participation in Worship
We have a tradition of shared ministry at A2U2; each person is part of the ministry of our church. For many in our congregation, participation in worship as a reader or musician or by taking part in the “lesson for all ages” is an important expression of their spirituality.
In addition, the Worship Committee coordinates one service a month during the regular church year (September-June) and all services during the summer. They may create the service themselves or sponsor another group to put on a service. Traditionally the Social Justice Committee and Senior Youth Group each put on one service during the regular church year.
The worship committee holds periodic training in use of the microphone, and public reading practice for those interested in such occasional participation.
Our minister and the Worship Committee invite your input and participation in our worship services.
For more information, contact our minister, Rev. Donna Dolham or Worship Committee Co-Chairs Susan Selbe or Anna Noyes Benoit.
